W6Mo5Cr4V is mainly used for manufacturing various cutting tools with high cutting speed, heavy load, and high working temperature, such as turning tools, milling cutters, hobs, planers, broaches, drills, taps, etc., and it is also can be used for manufacturing requiring high wear resistance hot and cold deformation molds, high temperature springs, high temperature bearings and so on.

The outstanding features of W6Mo5Cr4V High speed steel are high hardness, wear resistance and hot hardness (also known as red hardness). When the temperature of the cutting tool is as high as 500~600 degrees Celsius, the hardness still has no obvious drop, and it can be higher than the low alloy cutting tool steel.
