GB 4Cr5MoSiV Hot Working Die Steel description
4Cr5MoSiV alloy is a hot work tool steel for universal use. 4Cr5MoSiV provides higher toughness than conventional H13 materials. It can be applied in die casting dies and metal extrusion tools for processing light metals, forging dies, molds, screws and barrels for plastic processing, nitrided ejectors, and hot-shear blades. 4Cr5MoSiV special steel is recommended for the highest demands.

6. Excellent dimension stability during heat treatment
7. Good thermal conductivity and insusceptibility to hot cracking. It can be water-cooled to a limited extent.
Applications of 4Cr5MoSiV:
1. Suitable for Al, Me, Zn alloy casting mould.
2. Suitable for plastic mould steel require high purity.
3. Can be used as a plastic mould steel requiring adding glass fiber and calcium powder.
4. Suitable for bakelite mould.
5. Suitable for plastic mould steel with complicated processing shape and require high ductility.
