Characteristics of T10A Carbon Tool Steel
T10A carbon tool steel is a high-quality carbon tool steel specified in the Chinese standard (GB/T 1298-2008).
High Carbon Content: T10A has a carbon content of approximately 0.95%-1.04%, providing high hardness and wear resistance, suitable for manufacturing tools requiring high strength.
High Hardness: After proper heat treatment (such as quenching and tempering), its hardness can reach HRC 60-64, making it suitable for cutting tools and wear-resistant components.
Good Toughness: Compared to other high-carbon steels, T10A maintains good toughness while achieving high hardness, suitable for tools that withstand certain impacts.
Machinability: In the annealed state, it has good machinability, facilitating forging, cutting, and forming.
Strong Wear Resistance: Due to its high carbon content and heat treatment properties, T10A exhibits excellent wear resistance, suitable for manufacturing tools, dies, and similar applications.
Poor Corrosion Resistance: Lacking alloying elements like chromium, T10A is prone to rust and requires proper protection.
