Characteristics of 15CrMoG Seamless Tubes

15CrMoG seamless tubes are high-pressure seamless steel pipes made of pearlitic heat-resistant steel, widely used in high-temperature and high-pressure environments such as power plants, chemical industries, petroleum, and boilers. Their key features are as follows:
1. Excellent High-Temperature Performance
Thermal Strength: At temperatures of 500–550°C, the yield strength (δb) is ≥440 MPa, maintaining structural stability during long-term operation.
Oxidation Resistance: Forms a dense oxide film on the surface, effectively resisting high-temperature oxidation and hot corrosion, thereby extending service life.
Hydrogen Corrosion Resistance: Contains chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo) elements, which inhibit hydrogen diffusion in the material, making it suitable for hydrogen-containing environments (e.g., petrochemical equipment).
2. Good Mechanical Properties
Balanced Strength and Toughness: Through quenching and tempering treatment (quenching + high-temperature tempering), tempered sorbite microstructure is achieved, combining high strength with excellent toughness and impact resistance.
Fatigue Resistance: During long-term high-temperature operation, pearlite spheroidization and alloy element redistribution may lead to performance degradation, but material deterioration can be controlled through microstructural monitoring.
3. Outstanding Corrosion Resistance
Sulfur Corrosion Resistance: Molybdenum enhances the material's corrosion resistance in sulfur-containing environments, making it suitable for industrial chimneys, exhaust gas treatment, and other applications.
Steam Corrosion Resistance: In humid or steam environments, the oxide film can self-repair, reducing the corrosion rate.
