Excellent High-Temperature Performance:
High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance: 15CrMoG seamless tubes contain relatively high levels of chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo). These elements form a dense oxide film on the steel surface at high temperatures, effectively preventing further oxygen erosion of the steel and ensuring the stability and durability of the tubes in high-temperature environments.
High-Temperature Strength: These tubes exhibit high thermal strength at elevated temperatures, with a tensile strength generally required to be no less than 440 MPa and a yield strength no less than 295 MPa. They can withstand complex stress states in high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
Good Corrosion Resistance:
Oxidation Resistance: The chromium element significantly enhances the steel's oxidation resistance, making the tubes less prone to oxidation and corrosion in high-temperature environments.
Hydrogen Corrosion Resistance: The addition of molybdenum strengthens the tubes' resistance to hydrogen corrosion, enabling them to maintain stable performance in hydrogen-containing environments.
High Strength and Toughness:
High Strength: 15CrMoG seamless tubes possess high tensile and yield strengths, enabling them to withstand significant pressure and vibration without cracking or fracturing.
Good Toughness: The tubes have an elongation rate of no less than 22%, reflecting their excellent plasticity. They can deform to a certain extent under external forces without breaking, adapting to complex conditions such as thermal stresses that may occur during boiler operation.
Excellent Welding Performance:
Mature Welding Process: Although the weldability of 15CrMoG seamless tubes is relatively poor, reliable welded joints can be obtained by using appropriate welding materials and processes, such as preheating combined with ER80S-B2L welding wire and E8018-B2 electrodes, followed by high-temperature tempering at 715°C after welding.
Superior Welded Joint Performance: The welded joints of 15CrMoG seamless tubes processed with reasonable welding techniques meet the usage requirements of high-pressure boilers in terms of tensile strength, impact toughness, and other performance indicators.
