GCr15 special steel, under GB/T18254 standard, is high carbon chromium bearing steel. Katalor can supply GB GCr15 forged steel bars, GCr15 special steel hot rolled bars, and GCr15 cold drawing steel bars with large stock. Also available in round bars, square bars and flats.

Heat Treatment:
Soft annealing: heat to 680-720℃, cool slowly. Hardness after annealing: 241HB max. Hardening: 820-850℃. Normalizing temperature: 840-880℃. Tempering: 540-680℃.
GCr15 special steel is used for the production of bearing rings and rolling parts such as the production of an internal combustion engine, electric motor vehicles, cars, tractors, machine tools, rolling machines, drilling machines, mining machinery, general machinery, and high-speed rotation of the high-load tool, mechanical transmission ball, roller and race. In addition to doing ball bearing rings endures, sometimes used to make tools, such as dies and measuring tools.
