5CrNiMo tool steel has good toughness strength and high wear resistance.
Characteristics and application scope of 5CrNiMo tool steel:
The mechanical properties of 5CrNiMo tool steel are almost the same at room temperature and 500-600 ℃. When heated to 500 ℃, the hardness of hb300 can still be maintained. Because 5CrNiMo tool steel contains molybdenum, it is not sensitive to temper embrittlement. After slowly cooling down from 600 ℃, the impact toughness of 5CrNiMo tool steel only slightly decreased.
5CrNiMo tool steel has good hardenability. After oil quenching at 820 ℃ and tempering at 560 ℃, the hardness of each part of the section is almost the same.
The 5CrNiMo tool steel is used to make all kinds of large and medium-sized forging dies.
5CrNiMo tool steel is easy to form white spots, so smelting process and cooling system after forging and rolling should be strictly controlled.
5CrNiMo tool steel approximate composition foreign steel grade: American L6 (AISI), Japan skt4 (JIS), Japan GFA (Datong), Japan DM (Hitachi), Germany 1.2713 (W-Nr), France 55NiCrMoV7 (NF).
