20MnVB hardened steel

20MnVB is a kind of carburized steel with better performance. The characteristics of 20MnVB steel are similar to those of 20CrMnTi and 20CrNi steel. 20MnVB has high strength, wear resistance and harden ability. The critical harden able diameter in oil is 27~53mm. 20MnVB steel is used to manufacture medium and small carburized parts with large modulus and heavy load. Such as: gears and shafts on heavy-duty machine tools, active and passive gears on rear axles in cars.

20MnVB Heat treatment specification

Quenching 860 ° C, oil cooling; tempering 200 ° C, water cooling, air cooling.
Metallographic organization: tempered martensite.

Delivery status of 20MnVB steel

Delivery by heat treatment (normalizing, annealing or high temperature tempering) or without heat treatment, the delivery status shall be indicated in the contract.
